Yesterday I went to the launch of the NHS Parliamentary Awards 2019, which celebrate outstanding teams and individual NHS England professionals.
You can nominate people for:
1) Excellence in healthcare;
2) Excellence in mental health;
3) Excellence in urgent and emergency care;
4) Excellence in primary care (GP surgeries);
5) Future NHS (new technologies);
6) Health equalities;
7) Wellbeing at work;
8) Care and compassion; and
9) Lifetime achievement.
After my recent night at James Cook University Hospital with the A&E team, I'm in no doubt who I will be nominating for the urgent and emergency care award. They are incredible and deserve recognition.
But I want YOUR thoughts for all the other awards! Please email me at simon.clarke.mp@parliament.uk if you want me to nominate an organisation or individual, with a short explanation why.
*The deadline to send suggestions to me is midday on Monday 15 April, to give me time to choose ahead of the nominations closing on 26 April.*
If you are a healthcare organisation, you can also nominate people directly. Full details can be found at: http://www.nhs70awards.co.uk/how-nominate-0
I will keep you posted as we head towards the awards ceremony in July and let's get some amazing NHS staff from Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland an award!!
