I was a guest on today's BBC Sunday Politics. I spoke from the heart about how strongly I feel about honouring my promises. I don't think this month's European elections should be taking place, I won't campaign in them, and I won't support a Customs Union with the EU.

Winning the Battle to Bring Green Jobs to Our Area

Carbon Capture and Storage is a green technology that has the potential to bring thousands of jobs to Teesside. The Tees Valley Mayor, Ben Houchen, and I are working flat out to make the case for the Government to help local industry to deliver it.

Delivering Brexit Properly

The crucial Brexit negotiations are entering their decisive phase. I told BBC's The Today Programme why we should go all out to secure a Canada style Free Trade Agreement that would deliver a strong trade deal with the EU and honour what people on Teesside voted for.

Renewable energy is making huge strides. Simon believes we should ensure all technologies, including onshore wind, play a role in our future energy mix - but community consent is key.
