So many of our local firms are doing great things, and on Friday I visited FJ Booth Construction, the structural steelworks contractor led by local man Shaun Muir.
The company has just secured a major new contract with Birmingham International Airport, adding to their existing airport work with Heathrow, Manchester and Stansted.
There is now so much work coming through that they have had to put up temporary buildings at their fabrication shop at Skelton Industrial Estate, and start recruiting a night shift!
I pledged to work with both local councillors and Tees Valley Mayor, Ben Houchen, to see what matched-funding is available to help support investment in permanent premises, to unlock more growth and jobs.
