Yesterday Simon Clarke MP had a brilliant time at Guisborough Town F.C., watching keeper Jordan Nixon score with the last kick of the game to rescue an incredible 3-3 draw against Newton Aycliffe in the Extra Preliminary round of the The Emirates FA Cup!
Two weeks ago I met the wonderful team from Keeping It Clean At Saltburn (pictured) to discuss their work fighting plastic pollution on our beach. This followed my meeting with Roy Smith from Saltburn Beachwatch, who do likewise.

On Sunday, Simon Clarke MP really enjoyed joining the crowds at the first ever Chaloner Street market in Guisborough. There was a fantastic range of stalls and people loved the atmosphere - Simon said it looks as though this has the potential to become a real institution!

Like me, two-thirds of people here in Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland voted to leave the EU. But five Labour MPs in the North East have just demanded a second referendum, and Labour’s top politicians won’t rule it out. They want to ignore us.
