With a number of positive young people from Redcar making headlines today I wanted to pay tribute to another.
Former Redcar Academy pupil Luke Alderson contacted my office back in May and has spent much of his summer doing work experience with myself and my team in the Constituency. His attitude and input have been amazing.
Luke, who still lives in Redcar when not at University, studied Politics, History and Economics at A Level before moving to read Politics and International Relations at the University of Kent.
Like so many young people across Teesside he wants to make the most of his dreams and last year spent a year studying in China as part of his course. I'm sure that whatever he chooses to do in the future will be a success as the happy, outgoing and resourceful young man I've come to know over the summer definitely has the world at his feet.
Good luck Luke and we’ll catch up for another great Parmo in The Three Fiddles Guisborough next time you’re home!
