Raising Standards in Our Local Schools

Nothing matters more than delivering a good education for our children. I have set up termly meetings with all our headteachers to ensure I have a thorough understanding of the needs of schools across the constituency.

I am also keen to support other opportunities for our young people to develop the skills they need to succeed and am a regular visitor to our local National Citizen Service scheme.

Debating the Future - A visit to Nunthorpe Academy

At the end of a very testing week, it was great to join the sixth form at Nunthorpe Academy to talk about the big issues of the future, from climate change to abortion law to (inevitably!) Brexit. These sessions are one of the best parts of being an MP.
