It was a huge honour to be named "Britain’s Greenest MP" last night at The Climate Coalition’s Green Heart Hero Awards. The Green Heart Hero Awards recognise the work of individuals, community groups and businesses to tackle climate change and promote a cleaner future.

Lowest CO2 since 1888

A couple of weeks ago we had the story of school pupils going on “strike” over climate change. Today, it’s confirmed that U.K. CO2 emissions have fallen for the sixth year in a row, to the lowest level since 1888.

A fantastic community effort in Stewart Park

I was out and about with my little boy Ed when we bumped into all the team cleaning up Stewart Park, Middlesbrough. This was a fantastic effort and it was great to see so many friends, including Maria Cairns-Lord, Carolyn Dodds, Jon Rathmell, Dave James Tate and Jan Mohan!
